With an electrical resistance of ten milliohms, it can be used wherever electromagnetic shielding is required, but where the conductivity requirements are not too high. The aluminium shielding foil is therefore a good low-cost alternative to copper tapes. In addition to EMC applications, it is also ideal for earthing and discharging electrostatic charges. Its excellent punchability and relatively low overall thickness of 0.081 millimetres make it suitable for a wide range of applications.
