tesafix 4957 is a double-sided adhesive tape consisting of a PE foam carrier and an acrylate adhesive. tesafix 4957 is available in white or black and is covered with a brown release paper (PV0). The soft, highly pliable foam ensures immediate adhesion, even with low pressure. tesafix 4957 is also suitable for rougher adhesive surfaces and compensates for differences in expansion between different materials.

The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again. tesa 65610 Removable is a double-sided PE foam adhesive tape with a PET reinforcement film. The modified and highly adhesive acrylic adhesive allows the product to be used on a variety of different surfaces. The flexible backing of our double-sided PE foam tapes helps to compensate for the unevenness of the bonding surfaces and also has damping properties and can absorb shocks. The main disadvantage of a conventional foam adhesive tape arises when the bonded part is removed. This results in heavy foam residues that can only be removed at great expense in terms of time and money.
