The 3M protective suit 4540+XL TYPE 5/6 is light, soft and extremely comfortable to wear. It is made of a microporous material (PE laminate) on the front, which offers reliable protection and is also slightly breathable. A triangle of water vapour-permeable material (SMMMS) implemented on the back ensures increased comfort. This suit from the Premium programme can be used in a variety of ways and impresses with a number of details. It is characterised by elasticated inserts at the hips and ankles, which ensure a snug fit. Reinforced seams increase durability and the two-way zip with detachable flap offers additional protection. Its three-piece hood ensures special compatibility with 3M eye and respiratory protection. The premium reusable lightweight bonnet S-657 is a head piece for the 3M Versaflo respiratory protection system. It covers the head, face, neck and shoulders and offers eye and face protection in accordance with EN166 (protection against liquid splashes and flying particles with low impact energy). The premium reusable lightweight bonnet has a double neck seal. The inner part of the neck seal is tucked into the top of the shirt or protective suit. This allows excess air to be channelled over the entire body, providing additional comfort. The lightweight bonnet is an extremely cost-effective solution for environments with high disposal rates: When worn, only the contaminated outer bonnet is replaced, while the headgear and air supply can continue to be used. The rigid design of the headband ensures a uniform air supply. Another plus is that it can be adjusted from the outside so that the wearer can regulate the air distribution to suit their personal comfort requirements. A simple turn of the outer regulator is all it takes for the wearer to direct the airflow away from the back of the head towards the temples, face and visor. The bracket has separate adjustment options for head height and head circumference, allowing comfortable, customised adjustment to a wide range of head shapes. The soft comfort pad can be used to further improve the fit so that the bonnet fits even more wearers perfectly. The particle filter is inserted into the 3M Adflo blower to filter particles from the working environment and thus provide you with clean air to breathe. The particle filter must be replaced regularly. Replace the particle filter when the indicator lights up red, but at least every fortnight. Another indication that the filter needs to be replaced may be that the battery life is noticeably shorter or if the full filter triggers an alarm due to insufficient air flow.
