The 3M Scotchcast 92-NA U series cast resin bonding set is characterised by its flame resistance in accordance with UL 94-V0 (3 mm). It also has increased chemical resistance to hydrocarbonates. This makes it particularly suitable for use in heavy industry (mining and industry). It is designed for one to five-core, non-armoured low-voltage plastic cables and ensures the electrical insulation and mechanical protection of both compression and screw connectors. The SVHC-free connection set, tested in accordance with EN 50393, can be used indoors and outdoors as well as in the ground or under water. The two-part moulded shell can be folded up in no time at all and closes by automatically snapping into place. It is made of transparent, pink-coloured plastic and thus enables both marking and easy checking of the connector spacing in the socket. The Scotch 23 self-sealing rubber tape ensures optimum sealing of the fitting. A GMG system (closed mixing and pouring) is used when pouring the 3M Scotchcast 1402 FR casting resin, which is also included in the scope of delivery and is flame-retardant. This practically eliminates contact with the casting resin during processing. The transparent mixing bag guarantees visual control of the mixing process. After use, the mixing bag can be disposed of with the cured casting resin residue as normal household waste. Disposal as hazardous waste is not necessary.
