3M Acrylic Foam Adhesive Tape, consisting of a light grey acrylic foam with additional acrylic adhesive coatings on both sides. Typical applications include the attachment of add-on parts such as bumpers, mouldings, emblems, etc. 5390 has very good adhesion to a wide range of automotive surfaces, good internal strength, excellent long-term stability and very good conformability to the surfaces to be bonded. The unique viscoelastic properties of 5390 provide excellent stress relief in the bonded joint, resulting in extremely durable bonds.

The best bonding results are achieved if you pre-clean the parts to be bonded, then roughen them (e.g. with Scotch-Brite 7447) and clean them again.
